I like the wire shelves instead of glass, it lets the cold air circulate much better. Wish the front doors were textured like the sides so you don't see all the fingerprints.

On this model, WRT138FZD*, the Flexi-slide bin does NOT slide side to side. You must remove the bin drawer and its plastic support and then reinstall them in the desired position. The Whirpool website is misleading when it states that this model, "features a Flexi-Slide™ bin that easily moves side to side". On the wire shelves, the spacing from wire to wire is slightly greater than 1 inch. That is too wide for many items with a base width of less that 2.25 inches. For example, taller beer bottles will easily tip over on the wire shelves.

This is a replacement for my 3 year old 18 cubit foot fridge that was freezing the food in my fridge due to a problem with the compressor. I am extremely frustrated as this NEW replacement is doing the same thing! I have an appointment scheduled on Oct 9th with the extended warranty company to determine what the problem is. I am very frustrated with Whirpool products!

Glad I got this refrig as it provides much more space both in refrig and freezer cavities.However, find that there are areas in the refrig space which freeze my food when temperature is set to recommended settings. Have found the need to set temperature one warmer than recommended.

I got this about 3 weeks ago and am very happy. Its very roomy, the freezer is larger than my other unit and has a a wire rack. It's nice and quiet, the deli drawer can be located on either side with a solid half shelf on top rather than the standard wire rack which can be very handy at times. There is also a shelf in the door that can tilt up in order to place tall items in the door, great feature! The only disappointment is the fruit and vegetable drawers on the bottom are very short.
