Dries quickly and a variety of options

Have had the dryer hooked up for about a month now, dries well and has many options for drying. Haven't used the steam feature yet but the moisture sensor works very well in drying the clothing. If you buy gas and want to convert it to propane, you must call Whirlpool to order the conversion parts, comes with 3 but you only need 2 of them for the propane. Hopefully you have some time because the valve you need to access is at the back of the dryer and you have to take off the door and front panel then the drum and then make sure the belt is on properly when you put it all together. Its a pain, but worth it if you have someone who is good at taking things apart and putting them back together. My fiance is a gas fitter so he was able to run the gas line which saved a bundle too.

Research pays off!

I researched washers and dryers for a full year before buying. Throughout the whole process, Whirlpool was in the top three. One of the things I really like about this dryer is that the king size sheets do not get entangled. Previously when washing and drying sheets the flat sheet and fitted sheet would get very tangled and anything else in the load would get caught up in the fitted sheet keeping the items from drying. With this dryer, that does not happen. Not sure why that is true, but I have to say it makes my day!

This is an extremely large capacity dryer that can handle towels with ease. The buttons on the control panel are sometimes hard to push and there aren't enough low heat cycles without using a timed cycle. I would have liked a cycle that used the low heat for more normal fabrics so that the dryer could sense how dry the clothes are without me having to check on the dryer after the timed cycle. The end of the cycle signal is a little annoying too. The pedestal drawer for this dryer has a handle that feels a little flimsy as well. It seems like I'm going to pull the handle off every time I open the drawer. Other than that, I like the dryer and the steam feature.

When we had our first Whirlpool front load, we did not get the matching dryer since we had replaced our dryer recently. I strongly recommend to have the matching dryer- odes a much better job. I am learning how to get the most out of the new machine rather than doing what I've always done. Seems to be working well.
