The only thing wrong with this dryer is a design flaw. The top has a raised ridge around it. The lint filter is pulled with in the ridge making whatever it dropped very hard to pick up. If the top was smooth it would be easy to just wipe it off the edge.

We have had this dryer for several months now and it works well. It is simple and easy to operate with classic knob controls. It is one of the few dryers still available with the hopper door (hinged on the bottom).

This dryer handles huge loads, including bulky items, and dries them evenly in less than an hour. It is quiet, except for the "Finished" buzzer, which we can hear from anywhere in the house. We use the auto dry setting, and don't have problems like shirts getting stuck inside of sheets, and still being wet (our old dryer had that problem). The controls are simple and easy to use. Despite being huge on the inside, this is the only (non-stackable) dryer we could find to fit in the limited space of our laundry room. The filter is very efficient at capturing lint, so it should be emptied after every load.

I bought this a month ago along with washer. Washer seems to be working well but dryer does not seem to meet the standards. Everytime we put clothes in dryer, we have to run it twice and sometimes it's thrice. Whirlpool either need to fix the fundamental problem with the product or discontinue and introduce a new model which works better and dries the clothes in first run.

This dryer is horrible! I thought my clothes weren't drying because just maybe I was over loading it. NOPE. Even on the highest dry setting and less clothes it still takes three times to dry. I haven't even had this dryer for 8 months and this is what I'm dealing with now. I'm definitely calling in the morning to speak with someone about this because I'm tired of having to run my dryer more than once to dry my clothes.

Bought this to replace my 18 year old whirlpool dryer that still worked great but the matching washer finally after 18 years broke down for the first time. Decided it was time to get a new set. I've had this dryer for three months and love it. I wanted one with a pull down door and simple controls that are not electronic. The design is perfect and it dries in much less time then you would expect. It has a high, medium and low heat and timed or damp sensitive timer. It is quiet and has a buzzer if you want to use it.

We purchased this dryer a few weeks ago. I use the low setting for pretty much everything except for sheets and towels and most things come out dry the first time around. I use the "more dry" option, however, because the "energy preferred" option didn't dry the clothing as well. I also like that the door opens down instead of toward the side. Personal preference, I guess.
