The matching washer is really great. The dryer an the other hand not so great. All the pre-set fuctions don't really work well. Clothes don't fully dry. We just set time dry to 1 hour and 20 mins. Which seems we to long, but at least clothes get dry. Another annoyance, the dryer softener sheet get stuck in the drum seam.

I have had this dryer for about 2 months. In general it works great! Large enough for giant loads. Major complaint, if you forget to remove a load, there is no wrinkle release. The dryer will not turn on in any mode if the clothes are dry. Any suggestions? Make sure you know the measurements of the laundry area. This machine is deep. The door only opens downward. I have to shut the door to the laundry room to open the dryer door.

Touch Buttons Are A Hassel

I bought this washer & dryer set maybe a month ago. The touch buttons work most of the time to start the dryer but are tempermental to start. Alway says clean lint filter which is a pain in the neck. Open the door, close the door, push the button, says clean lint filter again. I will probably have to call for service. It's better than the first few weeks but still acts up 25% of the time.

Broke down after 4 months

I purchased this dryer in February. It was a special order so it took 6 weeks to come in and then about another 4 weeks to install because we were in the process of making a new laundry room. It's a gas dryer and I loved it because it was drying my clothes so much faster. It stopped heated the last week of June. I called Maytag because it's still under warranty and they sent a company to come look at it. After several times of them coming, they found out it was the thermal fuse. Which seems like a quick fix, but has taken forever to figure out. I have been without a dryer for nearly 6 weeks. I've called Maytag several times and all they say is I'm sorry you're having trouble, we will put in a work order. Well, it's finally supposed to be fixed on Tuesday (however this will be the 4th time it will be "fixed"). At this point I'm just hoping that it's not a common problem. I would hate to have to spend another $1,000 to replace an already brand new dryer. Also, I've never spent a bunch of money on a dryers I had a cheap $300 for 7 years and never had a bit of problems out of it. I finally buy a nice, expensive set and it breaks down after 4 months. I'm very disappointed!!!

Won't Dry Our Clothes

So this is the first time I buy Maytag and may just be the last time. We got the set washer and dryer exactly a month a go, I was pretty excited since it had good reviews. to our surprise this dryer will not dry our clothes; 90% of our clothes always comes out damp no matter what setting I choose. Have to put in the load for a second time in order for them to come out "dry" (ridiculous). Looks are amazing, quality wise its horrible. We are very disappointed.

I called your customer Svc line and was told your cords are 4 & 6ft. Short of having a new outlet installed, I have gone ro various stores for a heavy duty extension but only find them with a drop connector. The washer has one so 2 cords won't fit in one outlet. ? This dryer dries clothes perfectly in a short time. Love the light inside the dryer. Love the simple controls. Love the front drop down door and smaller size as ut fits perfectly in my space. It is small, but powerful!

Advanced technology at its best

I replaced my 12 year old set with this set and was surprised at how far technology has come. Not only is it easier to wash your clothes, it is less expensive and enjoyable. The best feature is that the washing machine figures out how much water to use - no more guessing. This model also does a fantastic job at getting the clothes clean and spinning out the water so that dry time is limited.
